Tara Hubbard began sewing and collecting fabrics as a child. After graduating from the Ohio State University with a degree in Art History, she decided to pursue her love of sewing by designing and creating handbags. At the present time, Tara participates in art festivals throughout Ohio and her handbags can be found in galleries, including the Toledo Museum of Art.
Each handbag is intricately pieced and sewn by the artist, Tara Hubbard. Many fabrics are used ranging from denim to Oriental silks and satins, as well as vintage and newer fabrics. Embellishments include embroidery, decorative stitching, applique and vintage buttons.
